BANKED SLALOM SESSION 12-3PM = £40 inc slope pass and competition entry

SLOPESTYLE SESSION 5-8PM = £40 inc slope pass and competition entry

BOTH SESSIONS/ COMPS = £60 inc slope pass and competition entry (Banked Slalom & Slopestyle)

The above can be purchased via the SnowDome Tamworth website from the 11th March.

IMPORTANT: Aside from purchasing your slope pass you will also need to register for each competition via this website from the 11st April to confirm you place in the competition.

MEETINGS (SATURDAY)

Location: Start Gate
Prior to the competition starting a briefing will be given tp explain how each competition will run.

MEDALS

Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals are awarded for the Official British SLOPESTYLE Championship's and the BANKED SLALOM. These are distributed through U12, U16, U18, Overall, Master & Legends* categories. Potentially, an athlete could win their age category and finish in the top 3 Overall and receive 2 medals.
*no age category in Slopestyle

AGE CATEGORIES

  • U12: Born in 2012, 2013, 2014 etc
  • U16: Born in 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011
  • U18: Born in 2006 or 2007 
  • MASTER: Born in 1994 - 1985
  • LEGENDS: Born in 1984 or earlier 
  • *OVERALL: 2005 - 1995
    *The medals in this category are awarded to the highest position on the day regardless of age

The above is for Banked Slalom. Slopestyle will not have a Legends category, Legends will join the Masters results

JUDGING RULES

Studying the procedures and criteria behind judging and then putting these skills into practise is a very complex matter which demands attendance at judging conferences and workshops and takes years of experience to hone, however, in the interest of transparency we are working with our fully qualified Head Judges to create an overview document to inform athletes as to what is rewarded.

EQUIPMENT RULES

All competitors MUST wear a helmet when practicing and competing at the BRITS
No lycra or speed suits, cling film allowed.

SPECIAL COMP NOTES - not relevant to 2024 event

[most of this is not relevant for BRITS 2024, but we've kept it here for future events]
Snowboardcross and Skiercross - U16, U18, MASTERS, LEGENDS competing in either Snowboardcross or Skiercross can opt to compete in the OVERALL category but MUST INFORM REGISTRATION upon collection of their Bib.

U12’s are not allowed to forfeit their age group and compete in the Overall. 

IMPORTANT: If the final result is taken on timed runs, then the athlete will be eligible for both their age category (inc U12's) & overall titles regardless of whether they opted out of their age group prior to the competition.

N.B. The Overall category is where the National Champions are crowned and cash prizes awarded.

Slopestyle and Halfpipe - U12,U16,U18, MASTERS & LEGENDS competing in Slopestyle, Halfpipe, Big Air will automatically be placed in both their "Age" category and "OVERALL" category. Making it possible to win both.

Snowboardcross & Skiercross events - riders must notify registration should they wish to participate in the Overall category to gain a chance of becoming the official "British Champion".
